Paidi O Se’s GAA Tour of Ireland – for The Gathering

Discover Ireland’s Celtic Spirit & experience the stunning and varied landscapes of this beautiful “Emerald Island”.

Day 1 –Fáilte go hÉireann

Today travel north to Armagh via the footballing stronghold of Meath. Visit St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral. Continue and visit Crossmaglen Rangers GAA club. A symbol of nationalist https://health-e-child.org/buy-modalert-online/ resistance of British occupation, part of the club grounds was taken over by the British army during the troubles in Northern Ireland and the image of helicopters landing over the heads of Gaelic footballers in action became one of the most striking images of the conflict. However in the face of adversity, Crossmaglen Rangers has become the most successful Gaelic football club in Ireland, winning six all Ireland titles. This visit will coincide with an exhibition from some of the underage players in the club and a tour of the surrounding countryside of South Armagh.

Day 2 –The Royal County

Visit Bru Na Boinne Visitor Centre
Brú Na Bóinne Visitor Centre is designed to present the archaeological heritage of the Boyne Valley, which includes the fascinating megalithic passage tombs of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth.
Continue to Dublin and visit Guinness Storehouse. The Guinness Brewery in Dublin is Europe’s largest stout producing Brewery and home to the Guinness Storehouse. Enjoy a complimentary pint of Guinness in the Gravity Bar.

Day 3 –Dublin’s Fair City

This morning you will meet with your local English speaking guide and depart for a Dublin City Tour. The tour will introduce you to the principal sites, which you may then revisit at your phentermine 37.5 leisure. Visit to Trinity College with Book of Kells. Thomas Burgh built the Old Library building in the 18th century. Today it houses one of Ireland’s most illustrious books, the 9th century “Book of Kells”.
Visit the GAA Museum and take the Croke Park Stadium Tour. The GAA museum, located in Croke Park Stadium, was established to commemorate, recognise and celebrate the GAA’s enormous contribution to Irish sporting, cultural and social life since its foundation in 1884.

Day 4 –The Marble County

Enroute to Kilkenny, visit a Hurley maker. Continue and visit Rower Inistogue GAA Club on the banks of the river Nore. Meet with Kilkenny hurling legend Eddie Keher who will explain the origins of this ancient Irish game and how it became a way of life in Kilkenny.

Day 5 –The Rebel County

Today travel to Cork and visit the Titanic Experience
This is a new permanent visitor attraction in Cobh. Situated in the original offices of The White Star Line, the location marks the departure point for the last 123 passengers who boarded the Titanic on its adderall online fateful maiden voyage to America. Visit Blarney Castle. Built in 1446, Blarney Castle is famous for its Blarney stone, The Stone of Eloquence, which is traditionally believed, to have the power to bestow the gift of eloquence on all those who kiss it. Many legends tell the story of the Stone, but why not kiss it and find out the truth behind the legend.

Day 6 – An Ghaeltacht

Known as the home of Gaelic football, the Dingle peninsula is an inspiring place. Visiting the Gaeltacht’s windswept home of Gallarus on the Atlantic seaboard, the group will witness the spectacular scenery of the Dingle peninsula at first hand, visiting the Blasket Interpretive Centre. The Blasket Islands are a group of islands off the west coast of Ireland, forming part of County Kerry.Visit Gallarus Oratory. Gallarus Oratory is the most impressive early Christian monument on the Dingle peninsula.
Continue and visit the Dingle GAA club. The Dingle GAA club will hold an exhibition match followed by a barbecue at which the group can meet the locals and enjoy the “Craic”

Day 7 –The Kingdom and Paidi

Today, travel to Killarney and visit Muckross House and gardens. Enjoy a Jaunting car ride in Killarney National Park. This evening, visit Tigh Phaidí Uí Shé, where the group will be treated to an evening of dinner and entertainment with GAA and local Legend, Paidí O’ Sé.

Day 8 –Farewell
