Phonewatch ComA?rtas Peile PA?idA� A� SA� (25th Anniversary)



The 25thA� b>PhoneWatchA�ComA?rtas PeileA�PA?idi A� SA�A�2014, also supported by Opel Ireland, Failte Irelanda��s Wild Atlantic Way and Lee Strand Milk, will see 48 adult mena��s and ladies club teams at senior, intermediate and Junior level descending on West Kerry on 21st, 22ndA�and 23rdA�February for an international Gaelic football tournament, reputed to be the largest club tournament in the world.

There are 13 counties being represented by 35 Gaelic football clubs and 13 international clubs from places like Boston, London, Manchester and Brussels making up over 1,300 participants playing in 24 pitches across the Dingle Peninsula.

The tournament was the brainchild of the late PA?idi A� SA�, the legendary Irish Gael and winner of eight All-Ireland senior football medals as a player and two as a manager.

The tournament will be officially launched by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny T.D. in Dublin on 11thA�February, where he will also make the draw for the weekend matches.

Headquarters is theA�ComA?rtasA�marquee atA�PA?idiA�a��s pub in Ceann Tra, Ventry with free live music nightly and the launch of a sportsA�photographicA�exhibition on the Sunday of the weekend by renowned sports photographer Billy Stickland of Inpho Photo Agency.
