PA?idA Monument Announcement
The PA?idA ASA monument committee is pleased to announce that after the financial support of many people in the corporate sector and some fundraising events over the past year, they have almost all the budget required to erect a life-size bronze monument outside his home in Ard A BhA?thair as a reminder of PA?idAas contribution to Irish society. A final push of fundraising is taking place at the moment to cover the costs associated with the launch event which will beAAofficially unveiled by Mick OaDwyer on 16th May, 2015, on what would have been PA?idAas 60th birthday.AThe monument is currently being created by well-known Sculptor Seamus Connolly from Kilbaha, Co. Clare who created (along with his son James) the John B. Keane statue in Listowel.

The PA?idA ASA monument committee was formed in early 2014 to perpetuate the memory of the late PA?idA O SA, a man who achieved extraordinary things for his county, his parish and the country at large – both on and off the football field – in a comparatively short life.
